3 Questions: Georgia Southern

So, here we are. Cupcake weekend. In my mind, this is a masterful scheduling move by McGarity. While Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech don't run the same offenses, their approach to moving the ball, blocking schemes, and devotion to the run are similar. Georgia should be able to handle business, and in all likelihood will easily do so. However, the game next week offers some challenges.

  1. Can we get what we need out of this week to make sure we take care of business next? This game offers a full speed game run down for the Tech game, especially for the defense. Getting these game reps will help us get ready for Tech.
  2. Can we get through this week without injuries dealing with the blocking schemes? Not cut blocks. Chop blocks. And just football. We are entering three pretty important weeks of football. Getting to the end of Thanksgiving weekend with no season ending injuries is huge.
  3. Is MM all good? Morgan looked very good last week. It was the first game all of his kicks looked strong, straight, and confident. He'll have some chances for PATs and a FG or two this week. Going 100% on them is huge, especially considering we'll likely need him to be that kicker the first weekend in December.
