My guesses for Georgia football kickoff times:
Times and networks in bold are confirmed.
Date | Oppoent | Time | TV | |
8/31/2013 | at Clemson | 8:00pm | ABC
9/7/2013 | South Carolina | 4:30pm | ESPN
9/21/2013 | North Texas | 12:21pm | SECN
9/28/2013 | LSU | 3:30pm | CBS
10/5/2013 | at Tennessee | 7:00 pm | ESPN2
10/12/2013 | Missou | 12:00pm | ESPN
10/19/2013 | at Vandy | 3:30pm | CBS
11/2/2013 | Florida | 3:30pm | CBS
11/9/2013 | App State | 1:00pm | PPV
11/16/2013 | at Auburn | 12:00pm | ESPN2
11/23/2013 | Kentucky | 7:45pm | ESPN2/U
11/30/2013 | at Tech | 7:00pm | ESPN2 |
A couple of notes:
- 10/19 and 11/9 - SEC doubleheader weekends. The worst kept secret in sports right now is LSU at Alabama at 8pm on November 9th.
- I could see Georgia vs. Vandy in the noon CBS game on Oct. 19th. This weekend will be highly record dependent, with CBS using a 6 day window there. LSU vs. Ole Miss, South Carolina vs. Tennessee, and Arkansas vs. Alabama area also on that weekend. If Vandy beats Ole Miss opening weekend and is sporting a 5-1 or so record at that point, and Georgia hasn't crapped themselves, I think it would be the most compelling game and get the CBS national spot.
- Many of these games are toss ups. Tennessee is an example. Could be the CBS game. Could be the 12:21 SECN game. Same goes for the next point....
- Auburn and Kentucky could be ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU. Much of that is dependent on ESPNs other national games and what kind of season those teams are having.
- I could see one of Missouri or Kentucky being an evening kickoff. I don't see both being later kickoffs.
- If both are are late kickoffs, I think we can read that as a sign that UGA's new president is different than the old one.
Thoughts?
